714 - Computer Aided Design

In this course, students are using the design process and CAD software to solve problems. Their solutions are then demonstrated in printed form and mockups and prototypes.

Introduction to solids modeling Computer Aided Design:

Students are working with a CAD software, sometimes for the first time ever, and gaining the skills to model objects. We will use this skill to fabricate in the woodshop and with numerically controlled machines.

Introduction to architecture with Computer Aided Design.

Students will work to design buildings and communities with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable design.
