LegoGroup

For this project, each person in the class will make a part for use by the entire class to make a larger system.

We will use only the lego parts included in the link at http://prodesktop.net/edg3/lego_v8.zip .

This is an evolving project, so you will need to check with this project description each class.

We will be making a town or city. Each person will make examples of things that could be found in a town or city.

Scale is the ratio between model and real life. We need to use a consistent scale to make sure that everybody's parts will fit with each others.

A house can be no larger than 30 bumps wide by 30 bumps deep

A car can be no larger than 10 bumps by 25 bumps

A street will be 30 bumps wide

File process/workflow:

  1. Create a page called LegoGroup
  2. Create a folder called LegoGroup
  3. Download a fresh copy of the lego parts using this link
  4. http://prodesktop.net/edg3/lego_v8.zip
  5. Save them in your LegoGroup folder
  6. Make your subassembly using only the parts in the download
  7. Your subassembly should be done by the end of the period
  8. Export a photo of your subassembly
  9. Upload your subassembly to your wiki
  10. Make sure your first name appears in the file name of all subassemlies
  11. Upload your picture of the subassembly to the wiki
  12. Make a link to the file
  13. Write a description of your subassembly

Your work will be linked to this page: LegoGroupFall06
